Residents of Rockland can drink their water from the tap again.
The city has lifted the boil water notice it imposed yesterday after receiving a positive test result report.
The boil water notice went into effect early Monday after a computer glitch caused problems with the municipal water delivery system.
Samples of water were sent to a lab for examination. Results indicate no problems at all and the water meets provincial quality standards.
Residents are advised to open all their cold water taps and let the water run for at least a full minute or until it feels cold to the touch before using. Also discard any ice made with water that was boiled as a precaution during the boil water advisory.
