More than $2 million in community aid grants will pour into the Champlain region of Eastern Ontario courtesy of the Ontario Trillum Foundation.
The grants are going out to a variety of health, education, amateur sports, recreation, and social service groups in the Five Counties.
"This is an exciting time for community organizations," said Gérald G. Samson, chairman of the foundation’s Champlain grant review committee, in a news release. "As they try new ways of working together and partnering to change their communities for the better."
The foundation also announced more than $6 million in province-wide grants to Ontario groups which will also have spinoff benefits to the eastern region.
